Join our Journey to Joy!
First Congregational Church of Thomaston

Why did the Wise Men seek baby Jesus?

Why did we present a pageant?

Simply, to worship the Christ Child, who came to save us from our sins.

To Him be the Glory!

I would like to thank all of the parents, grandparents, teachers, CE Committee, staff, friends (congregation), and my family for supporting our Sunday school children and attending the pageant.  The children were so excited to present their praise of Baby Jesus.  They read superbly (the script was King James Version) – some even memorized their lines!  All of the children looked so beautiful and were dedicated to their characters. Thank you again everyone for all of your love!

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible school is coordinated each year as a cooperative effort with the Covenant Church.  We consider this an outreach and open it to all in the community.  Someone from each church acts as Director to coordinate all activities and to solicit volunteers to do various activities: Teachers, Classroom helpers, Craft helpers, Games coordinators, Music, and Kitchen Staff.  Each year the average attendance is around 100 children with 40+ staff volunteers.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to work together with the Covenant Church and spread the good news of Jesus to Thomaston!
